A Brief History

Ahhhhhh............ Good to be back! My exams are finally over and now I can return to blogging! Now this is what's called a fresh beginning!

Da' History of Da' Past Few Weeks

Well..... the past few weeks were a totally freaky! Everybody must be knowing why. Exams. My Exams.
Like every other kid, I dread exams. They're like..... spooky spirits, that haunt you every second of your life. I hate the alphabet E. I hate everything that starts with E.
Well, almost everything.

First it was Maths. I do NOT like maths. I won't use superlatives like 'hate'. I did not study like mad or anything. I really should have. The paper was soooo damn tough.

For Sanskrit they did not even give us a day 's gap. I really got screwed in Sans. I have never understood why, WHY do we need to study an old- and-full-of-stupid-rules language? It really isn't of any use to us....

Hindi............................................................................................................................
went OK, but I'd expected a tougher paper.

Social Sciences and English went worse than I'd expected. I'd studied so hard for my favourite two subjects. Sooooo hard. I got four days to study English, but it still went bad.. :-(

But, General Science was the best. I've written just perfect answers and I can change my name if I get bad marks in Science.

The thing is, this time I did not work as hard as I usually used to. All the while I used to think that I'd get screwed in every exam. But the marks will be coming out quite fine. Actually, I'll be getting a great percentage this time. How did this happen? I have no idea. Some of my friends say that I am lucky . Some say that I just think that i study less. Why does everyone think I'm a padhakoo. I certainly am not. I barely study two hours a day. But, no one believes me. But why should I care? Why DO I care? Is it because my classmates don't like to hang around with very studious kids? Actually, to some extent, yes. Some of my classmates prefer being a more 'cool' person than a studious person. If someone is studying during a free period instead of playing, they jump into conclusions and start saying, 'पूरे समय
पड़ते क्यों रहते हो ?'

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding things. Maybe that's not my friends may mean. Or is it......?

2 hours a day is quite good kiddo! Especially for someone your age. Dont worry you are doing fine. I have a feeling your marks will be way beond your expectation this time too. You have done your job, now leave it to the authorities. Enjoy your holidays!

My Dear Adi,
Once Albert Einstein was asked by a kid, 'Mr.Einstein, why I have difficulty in handling Maths?' The handsome scientist, who happened to like Music and other forms of art a lot, with a smile on his lips, replied " My dear Boy, do not worry about your difficulty in Mathematics, I assure you that mine are greater."

Einstein who lived with a brain with no parallel in human history too had problems with Maths. But, he loved it. My dear Adi, there is always a beauty in loving difficult tasks in life.

I hope you might have already come across the name Euclid, one of the prominent mathematicians who laid foundations of many of the major math theories in Geometry. A youth who had to read geometry with Euclid, when he had learnt the first proposition, inquired. " What do I get by learning these things?' So Euclid called a slave and said " Give him three pence, since he must make a gain of what he learns".

'If you are living, you are living Maths', my maths teacher, a great scholar and alcoholic as well once told me. Whenever someone say tough comments on maths, I remember how my teacher enjoyed maths. Solving a mathematic problem was just like listening to good music for him. In fact every piece of music is a mathematic solution. Without rhythm, there is no music and rhythm is a mathematical solution.

Adi, please go youtube and see the mathemagic views. I am told by Ravi, my friend that it is amazing.

I remember a famous saying, " It is impossible to be a mathematician without being a poet in soul". When I know that you are a good writer, you are bound to be good in maths and you are. But you have to realise the fact of beauty within yourself.

Sincerely

Gopalakrishnan

comments like this is very common among girls- 'She really knows how to take care of her skin. see how its glowing!' So few would like to admit that the girl is more beautiful than the rest. well, have you got the point? Should the girl go on explaining to everyone that she was born that way?
