Sorry guys, i know i was kinda late to update...
Its All In The Brand, Man!
"Damn it dude, that's fake! Not original!"
"What's the difference?"
"A lot man! Fake football jerseys are.... not cool!"
A common conversation among my friends. "ManU's jerseys are made by Nike." And if one buys a ManU jersey which may have been made by some local sports company, then it's a fake one. Yes, it is fake. I agree. But is there anything wrong if you don't have original, branded stuff? Actually no, but among friends, yes. It's a matter of 'status'. If you buy fake, then YOU are fake, uncool....
What is the need for one to show off what they have? No need, but that's not what we kids think. These days we're too image consious. And the image that's in is being cool, being a guy who can rule over others. So, only buy branded stuff AND don't forget to show it to your classmates even if you don't need to bring it to school. There are guys in my class who have Nike schoolbags, Nike Footballs, Nike shoes, Nike jackets, Nike Caps, and Nike Water Bottles. Later we'll see them having only a tick made of hair on their heads (yeah, i may be overdoing it a little).
The worse part is, they consider guys who don't have branded stuff as cheap, stupid kids. Doesn't even make sense, does it. There's one so called 'poor boy' in my class who is the target of every other boy. They keep on pestering him, blaming him, making fun of his 'status' and other stuff like.... better not to say. All I can do is watch. I kind of know, even if I act..... there would be one more guy in their hit list. (i'm kind of hopeless, you know. And I'm scared)
Is this a problem with girls? Do they also care about brands? I'm clueless. But, anyway, boys do think they are a lot tougher than girls.......

I totally agree! We are too image and brand conscious these days.
Good post :)
hello adi..
jersey is something which shows that u r fan of the team..so brand doesn't matter...and at this age if ur frnds go for brands...I fink the TV culture is killing the new gen and m glad that u have a positive attitude abt it...
@Sameera
Thx a lot... happy to know you agree with me!
@daydreamer- well, yah, the jersey shows that you're a fan of the club. But the proof is not wearing an 'original' jersey.
Thnx
Adi
Dear Adi,
Sorry, I am bit late in going thru your new posting. My response could have been more timely, if I could write it on October 2nd. You worry about the image that one carry if he or she wears a fake dress. I understand. It happens like this all over the world. Here comes the importance of internalising the meaning of originality in one's life. I hope
, fortunately you have got the maturity to understand what I say. Original or fake, it is important when it comes into your character and not what you wear. What you wear too matter, I accept. But major contributions to humanity, whether in the field of science, art, sports or philosophy were done by the people by the originality of their selves and not by the dress what they wore.
Once Gandhi was in a press conference in the West and one gentleman told Gandhi that he could not envisage a statesman in a single 'dhoti', and Gandhi's immediate response to him was, 'do you know that the person whom the west admires most was wearing a single piece of cloth at the most important hour of his life' Gandhi was mentioning about the Christ on the Cross.
I give this incident to tell all youngsters that what matters is your acts and not what you wear. Dress matters only if you are an actor on stage or reel. Acting in real life is not advisable.
Awaiting more posting from you and your brother Neeru
Lovingly
Gopalakrishnan

It's best if you set aside a specific amount of time on a weekly basis for marketing your practice, and try to stick to this schedule even when you become discouraged or become tempted to allow other things to take priorityI repeat, one fourth of all the people living at this time are going to be killed by one of the 4 ways mentioned aboveAfter all, you bought it for its mobility, and it's nice to stay in touch via email with your family and friends back home
